This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Platform Team in Canada. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Team, you will be instrumental in building scalable and high-performance platform features that power enterprise-grade risk management and analytics solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize software that processes hundreds of millions of data points daily. This role requires technical leadership, a strong understanding of SaaS application architecture, and a hands-on approach to delivering reliable, high-quality solutions. You will help shape the platform roadmap, mentor junior engineers, and ensure best practices are embedded across the development lifecycle. The position offers an opportunity to impact the efficiency and effectiveness of cybersecurity and IT operations for some of the world’s largest organizations. Accountabilities: · Design and develop platform features that support scalable, high-performance SaaS applications. · Provide technical leadership on software implementation in alignment with the product roadmap. · Contribute to quality initiatives to meet client expectations and maintain high renewal rates. · Participate in planning sessions, establish standards, and define metrics to ensure predictable execution. · Deliver operational support for internal and external consumers of the platform. · Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a productive, autonomous, and collaborative environment. · Assist in developing technical documentation and processes that maximize the productivity of the platform. · 5+ years of experience in building large-scale SaaS applications. · 3+ years of experience in Java/Groovy enterprise web application development. · 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs. · Proficiency across the full technology stack (“Full-Stack Engineer”). · Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies. · Experience in technical leadership and mentoring within software engineering teams. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
