Description

Design and deliver high-quality microservices and event-driven systems
Build cloud-native services that operate reliably at scale
Work closely with product, architecture, and AI teams to embed AI/ML into real workflows
Lead the modernisation of legacy systems (DDD, strangler patterns, incremental refactoring)
Improve observability, telemetry, and system design to support AI-assisted operations
Drive engineering standards across testing, resilience, and reliability
Enhance developer experience through CI/CD, IaC, and automation
Mentor engineers on AI-assisted development (copilots, prompt usage, experimentation)
Make pragmatic, high-impact decisions balancing delivery and transformation
🧠 What You’ll BringCore ExperienceStrong background building software in complex, distributed systems (ideally regulated environments)
Expert-level Java (modern frameworks, testing, build tooling)
Proven experience delivering production-grade systems at scale
Technical EnvironmentAWS (or similar cloud platforms)
Kubernetes / containerised architectures
Event-driven systems + Kafka (designing and operating event flows)
CI/CD, infrastructure automation, DevOps / SRE practices
Observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
