This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Release Engineering in the United States. In this role, you will join a team focused on automating and improving the full software release lifecycle, delivering reliable, predictable, and fully automated releases. You will work across build systems, qualification frameworks, deployment pipelines, and release automation, ensuring high-quality production standards. This position offers the chance to influence operational excellence while leveraging modern workflow orchestration technologies. You will collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, maintainable, and automated release systems, while taking ownership of critical infrastructure. The role emphasizes innovation, technical ownership, and improving developer experience, providing opportunities to make a lasting impact on product delivery. Accountabilities: · Lead the design, implementation, and operation of automated release systems across the software lifecycle. · Build and maintain deployment workflows, build tooling, and release infrastructure to ensure safety and reliability at scale. · Automate hotfixes and scheduled releases to minimize risk and reduce manual intervention. · Document system designs, operational procedures, and release best practices for clarity and reuse. · Take full ownership of the systems you build, ensuring scalability, dependability, and ease of operation. · Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance release processes and adoption of workflow orchestration tools. · Participate in on-call rotation for production systems and continuously improve release automation and feedback loops. · Extensive experience building or operating release engineering, build, or deployment systems at scale. · Proficiency in developing scalable, distributed systems, preferably using Go or similar languages. · Familiarity with workflow orchestration systems such as Temporal or comparable platforms. · Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerized deployments, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP). · Strong technical judgment and ability to balance safety, velocity, and maintainability. · Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills. · Motivation to automate repetitive processes and deliver operational simplicity. · Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. · Competitive salary range of $180,000 – $225,000 depending on experience and location. · Participation in equity plans or company ownership programs. · Unlimited PTO, 12 holidays, plus 2 floating holidays. · 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision premiums. · Life, short-term and long-term disability insurance coverage. · 401(k) plan with company matching or equivalent retirement benefits. · Generous allowances for learning and development, professional memberships, lifestyle spending, and home office setup. · Remote-friendly work environment with meal and internet stipends. · Access to mental wellness resources and subscriptions such as Calm.
