You Will:

• Lead the technical strategy and systems of the Customer Success Technology engineering team.
• Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems, balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
• Architect and implement solutions for complex, ambiguous problems encompassing frontend interfaces, backend systems, and agentic AI applications to deliver rich user experiences, optimized contact handling, and back-office automation.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications
• Report directly to an Engineering Manager within the Customer Success Technology organization.

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering in a team environment
• Experience as a lead, working on both the frontend, backend, and anything it takes and delight users both internally and externally
• Experience leading other engineers on large features in collaboration with Product Management and other partners.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience leveraging modern AI development tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor) to accelerate development, debugging, and code optimization.
• Bonus: Experience or exposure to AI engineering applications is a plus!

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $152,000 to $190,000 CAD. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
