THE POSITION

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll have the chance to shape not only our product but also our engineering culture and ways of working.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build products that matter: We create products our brands love and rely on every day to grow and scale.
  • Design, develop, and maintain core backend systems: in Ruby on Rails, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability as we continue to grow across Europe.
  • Own features end-to-end: from collaborating with product managers on requirements, to architecting solutions, writing code, deploying, and monitoring in produ
  • Continuously improve our architecture: help us scale a Rails monolith sustainably by improving modularity, performance, security, and developer experience.
  • Ensure quality and reliability: write well-tested, maintainable code, contribute to code reviews, and help raise the engineering bar across the team.
  • Collaborate across teams: work closely with Product, Data, and Operations to shape solutions that create real business impact.
  • Mentor and support teammates: share knowledge, and guide less experienced engineers in best practices.
