About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Marketing Technology Team within Consumer Technology. The Senior Software Engineer will specifically work with the Marketing Email Product Area and perform Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutioning, development and support tasks as part of an Agile delivery team. In addition, the candidate will be expected to partner with Marketing teams and technology teams to successfully roll out new enhancements impacting email platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, drive solutions to completion and troubleshoot issues to resolution.

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to large scale planning of technology strategies
  • Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide work breakdown and estimates of work
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Proficient on Salesforce Marketing Cloud best practices, coding standards, and automation strategies
  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, and Automation Studio
  • Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and other platforms using APIs, SQL, SSJS, and data extensions. Ensure seamless data flows and maintain data integrity
  • Develop customer journeys, automation workflows, segmentation strategies, and personalization tactics to optimize marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to build dynamic email templates, A/B test campaigns, and optimize deliverability and engagement
  • Implement tracking and reporting analytics within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to measure campaign performance, customer engagement, and ROI. Provide actionable insights and recommendations
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and marketing best practices for email deliverability and customer data security
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Support feature-focused unit and system testing, including features built by other developers on the team, to ensure each high-quality project deliverables

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • 3+ years of experience developing complex SQL queries
  • 3+ years of delivering API and Integration solutions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant, Developer, Specialist and/or Admin trainings
  • Experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs
  • Proficiency in creating and managing automation workflows and data segmentation
  • Proficient in different Salesforce Marketing Cloud domains like Email Studio, Web Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder etc.
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and data modeling
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence driven personalization and predictive analytics within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders
