We provide aviation wildlife management solutions that prevent aircraft-wildlife collisions—protecting people, aircraft, and wildlife. To build on our success as an aviation wildlife management consultancy, we’ve developed a proof of concept (PoC) software and tested commercial interest. We’re now seeking a Software Engineer to complement our consulting team to lead the development of our commercial-ready software.

This is an opportunity to shape the product’s technical development from the architecture and high-level design to detailed design, writing code, and setting the direction for future growth.

BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with geospatial data, mapping tools, or predictive modeling
• Background or interest in aviation, wildlife ecology, or sustainability
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue)
• Prior work in early-stage startups or R&D-to-commercialization transitions

• Refine and expand an existing PoC into a stable, scalable prototype
• Design and implement core components of the software (back end, front end, data pipelines)
• Select, optimize, and maintain the tech stack for performance and future growth
• Develop robust databases and API integrations with external data sources
• Build secure, maintainable code and implement best practices for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and version control
• Collaborate with product leads and domain experts (aviation, ecology) to deliver real user value
• Support deployment, monitoring, and user feedback loops post-launch
