* Work with our talented Full Stack & Guidewire Chapter in Insurance & Enterprise Technology * Calling out for Java/REST API/Spring-Boot problem solvers and engineers * Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne location with hybrid work model About the role We’re on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team. The objective of the Senior Software Engineer is to work with the Engineering Practice to design, develop and implement improvements to our capability in Engineering including people, tools, culture, and way of working. The role includes systems analysis, design, development, maintenance & ongoing support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn Gosu and Guidewire ClaimCentre technology. What you'll do * Coach and mentor engineers to improve their engineering capabilities and embed robust practices * Analyse system requirements and develop technical design * Develop and maintain application software * Support the application software by analysing and fixing problems as required * Perform unit and integration testing on developed code * Produce thorough and effective unit and system test plans What you'll bring * 5+ years software engineering experience * Experience of coaching and mentoring engineers * Willingness to learn Gosu and Guidewire Claims technology * Strong experience in Java, Spring-Boot, REST API and microservice architecture * Experience in Node.js API development is desirable * Experience in testing frameworks, such as Cucumber, JUnit, REST Assured * Strong experience in Databases (SQL/ORM/JDBC) and DevOps * Experience supporting high availability production systems What You'll Enjoy Access our award-winning Shine platform – your central hub for exclusive perks, wellbeing support, career development, and recognition.
