Vancouver Bitcoin started its operations in 2018 and has grown exponentially over the last years. Based out of Vancouver we have strived to become of one Canada’s best cryptocurrency exchanges amongst Retail and Institutional clients. Vancouver Bitcoin was formed to provide safe and easy access to Bitcoin and other virtual currencies. We accomplished this by offering in- person, face-to-face transactions at our retail locations where customers can exchange Canadian dollars for virtual currencies, and vice versa.
Today, Vancouver Bitcoin is doing better than ever. In addition to our corporate stores, we’ve developed an enterprise software platform that enables other businesses across western Canada to offer virtual currency exchange services at their retail locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of prior technology leadership experience as a Director or Senior leadership for software development required.
• 2+ years leading engineering teams
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Proven experience in designing and building scalable exchange platforms (e.g., crypto exchanges, stock trading platforms, or similar)
• Frontend: Vue.js/Nuxt.js, CSS/JSS, Webpack, Tailwind.
• Backend: API, RESTful services, Node.js, AWS-SDK, MongoDB, Docker.
• Worked in an agile environment , best practices in Git Flow, and (CICD) Continuous Integration / Delivery. Participation in all software development life cycles: architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance.
• Experience with AWS cloud services

• Identifying technical solutions and infrastructure to meet the needs of the business and our portfolio companies.
• Developing and maintaining the systems architecture necessary to deliver on the requirements of the company and our partners.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to the platform and proposing solutions to be implemented.
• Ensure the technology resources meet the company’s short and long-term goal.
• Manage IT resources with strategic evaluation, development, deployment plans and timelines.
• Participating in code reviews and troubleshooting software bugs and other technical issues.
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
