POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer as an addition to our Advancing Operational Testing Infrastructure (AOTI) Capability Suite team in support of the Army Operational Test Command (OTC). AOTI is a Blazor and React-based suite of software applications developed for operational testing that enables data context, lineage, and traceability throughout the Operational Test event life cycle. AOTI includes integrated data collection planning, mission planning, and test preparation/monitoring capabilities deployed offline and in Azure cloud environments.
This role is flexible: we are looking for a strong engineer, where a specific focus (Front-End, Back-End, or Full-Stack) can be tailored based on your strengths and our project needs. You will contribute to key aspects of our systems, collaborating closely with our talented team. The chosen candidate will be employed on a full-time basis, primarily at a Trideum office in either Huntsville, AL, or Killeen, TX.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in a technical discipline (engineering, science, computer science/engineering)
  • 7-15 years of professional software engineering experience delivering complex software solutions
  • Demonstrated proficiency and professional experience in either modern front-end development (React, Blazor, TypeScript/JavaScript) or back-end development (.NET/C#, API design, database interaction), or strong capabilities across the full stack
  • Solid experience working within Agile environments and contributing to process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Proficiency with Git version control
  • Experience contributing to software system architecture and detailed design
  • Experience translating requirements into technical tasks and estimating development effort
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy clean, maintainable, and high-performance code using relevant technologies within our stack (e.g., Blazor, .NET/C#, React, TypeScript)
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers on software design, architecture, requirements definition, and feature delivery
  • Drive code quality and consistency through active participation and leadership in code reviews, promoting adherence to best practices
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth within the team
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our Agile development processes, tools, and team practices
  • Develop and maintain clear technical documentation for code, architecture, and processes
  • Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical roadmap planning
  • Translate business and feature requirements into concrete technical tasks, assisting with backlog management and estimation
  • Less than 25% travel may be required
