As an engineer on the watchOS Media team you will be responsible for building the future of the Music, Podcasts, Now Playing, Photos, Camera Remote, and TV Remote apps on watchOS. Our team also creates and maintains the frameworks that power all media apps and experiences on the Apple Watch and supports seamless integration with other devices including iPhones, AirPods, HomePods, and AppleTVs. DESCRIPTION Our team is responsible for bringing many different media and remote control experiences to life on watchOS. Your primary responsibility will be to help develop new features within our apps and frameworks, but you’ll also be expected to contribute to different levels of the engineering stack throughout the development process. These include many responsibilities relating to the design, development, and testing of this software that will ship to millions of users. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 8 years of related experience A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Expertise developing in Objective-C or Swift. Proven experience contributing to at least one application or framework. A deep commitment to product quality and a fantastic attention to detail. A consistent record of completing projects on-time and to specification. Experience optimizing applications and profiling throughout the stack. Excellent communication and collaborative skills and enthusiastic about working on a cross functional team. Upbeat, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitude. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Systems knowledge, hands-on experience with inter-process communication. Experience improving and expanding on existing complex projects and systems A strong intuition for UI/UX design. An interest in building consumer facing applications and experiences in the media space. Passionate Apple Watch user or are open to becoming one.
Responsibilities
