This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 2000000 (ie INR 20 LPA) Min Experience: 5 years Location: trivandram JobType: full-time In this role, you will be a key contributor within an established project team, responsible for taking embedded software components from requirements through implementation and delivery. You will work on requirement analysis, component design, coding, testing, and issue resolution, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations. The role demands a self-driven professional with strong decision-making skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision in a client-facing environment. Key Responsibilities Analyze software requirements and define functional and non-functional specifications Design, develop, and implement embedded firmware, drivers, middleware, and applications Write production-quality Embedded C code and perform developer-level testing Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining high code quality standards Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success Communicate requirements, expectations, and progress clearly and effectively Manage changing priorities and resolve conflicts in coordination with stakeholders Address customer escalations and troubleshoot complex product issues efficiently Stay current with relevant technologies, tools, and development practices Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and quality standards What Makes You a Great Fit 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development using Embedded Linux and/or RTOS Strong proficiency in Embedded C and a solid understanding of embedded system internals Good knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and version control systems Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall development environments Familiarity with development, debugging, testing, bug tracking, and collaboration tools Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to explore unfamiliar systems and debug effectively Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to estimate effort accurately, manage priorities, and deliver on time Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
