JOB EXPECTATIONS:

Position Overview: The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom software solutions that address complex cybersecurity challenges in a financial services environment. This individual will work within an Agile Scrum team, collaborating closely with product owners, security analysts, and fellow engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance applications and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development:
  • Architect and implement backend services and APIs using Python.
  • Develop responsive and secure frontend interfaces using JavaScript and TypeScript (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
  • Cybersecurity Integration:
  • Build tools and platforms that support threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Integrate with security data sources, SIEMs, and other cybersecurity infrastructure.
  • Agile Collaboration:
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver incremental value.
  • DevOps & CI/CD:
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (if applicable).
  • Mentorship & Leadership:
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Lead design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
