About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer In this role, you will: Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments Contribute to large scale planning of strategies Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Deep expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs. implement scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems leveraging Java 17+, Spring Boot, and cloud-native patterns. Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture. Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL stores. Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes/OCP, and Git. Proficiency with Kafka/RabbitMQ/MQ. Strong debugging and performance tuning skills. Advanced experience using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot, JetBrains AI Assistants)) to accelerate SDLC and engineering workflows (solution design, code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, debugging, and architecture drafting.) Good knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases orchestration frameworks, Copilot usage, and AI-driven design. Conduct high-quality code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers. Implement and validate NFRs across performance, security, resiliency, observability, and maintainability. Implement observability patterns using Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, etc. Experience with LangChain, LLM APIs, embeddings, vector stores, and RAG pipelines. Use Python-based GenAI tools for prototyping internal accelerators. Evaluate and integrate AI-based components into backend systems. Identify repetitive engineering tasks and propose AI-based automation. Job Expectations: Excellent communication and collaboration. High ownership, quality-focused mindset.
