JOB DESCRIPTION:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Risk & Internal Audit Technology (RIAT) team within Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT).
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact team that supports critical enterprise functions across the bank. The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group delivers innovative and resilient technology solutions for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations. EFT also supports Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management, ensuring stability, security, scalability, and speed across a diverse portfolio of applications.
As part of the RIAT team, you’ll work on strategic initiatives that enhance risk and compliance capabilities, leveraging modern technologies and frameworks. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about building secure, scalable solutions that support enterprise-wide governance and oversight.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of experience with .NET, Angular, and JavaScript
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, SSIS, SPOL (SharePoint Online), and Tableau
  • 2+ years of experience in the Risk and Compliance domain in the financial services industry
  • 1+ years of experience in SAP Concur

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Experience guiding junior developers
  • Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate for SharePoint migration projects
  • A BS degree or higher in information technology
  • Data Analysis experience
  • Ability to gather and document technical requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or GCP
  • An industry-standard technology certification in Microsoft, Java, or cloud technology
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
