WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 3+ years of proven experience in QA, demonstrating a solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, with a track record of successfully ensuring the quality of software products throughout their lifecycle
  • Fundamental knowledge of Javascript and/or Typescript
  • Proficiency with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright for conducting automated E2E tests, and experience in unit testing with Jest to ensure module robustness
  • Skilled usage of tools like Postman for backend testing of APIs
  • Strong communication skills, manifested in a well-chosen articulation in English
  • Based in or near Hamburg or Berlin, or open to relocation
Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Spearhead the establishment and documentation of standards and procedures for quality assurance testing throughout our development cycles
  • Work hand-in-hand with software developers and product managers to craft clear and effective test cases aligned with software requirements
  • Execute comprehensive manual, end-to-end (E2E), and user acceptance tests (UAT) to validate that the software meets all design specs and business needs, ensuring seamless system flow and user satisfaction
  • Engage actively in agile/scrum meetings, refining testing strategies as projects evolve
  • Automate test scripts and frameworks for streamlined testing processes
  • Implement and monitor key metrics to assess testing effectiveness and software quality, providing regular updates to the team
  • Curate and manage a repository of testing scripts, files, tools, and documentation to support our QA activities

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

  • 3 months: You understand use cases and challenges of nuvo’s products. You keep our testing arsenal up-to-date, documenting cases, plans, and results for future use. You work closely with various stakeholders to grasp requirements, offer design and functionality insights, and maintain quality throughout development.
  • 6 months: You oversee the bug tracking system, ensuring bugs are swiftly identified, logged, prioritized, and resolved. You define and track key quality metrics to assess the effectiveness of testing efforts and the overall health of the software. You adopt automation tools and frameworks to enhance our testing capabilities, reducing manual workload and broadening our testing scope seamlessly.
  • 12 months: You develop and implement standardized QA processes and procedures, tailored to nuvo’s software development cycles. You create comprehensive test suites covering various aspects of the software, including functionality, performance, security and usability.
