Senior Software Systems Engineer
Location: Dundee
Services Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineer with a proven track record to join our established team. This role involves collaborating with key customers to enhance ATM field performance, focusing on critical KPIs such as availability and reliability. Additionally, the role ensures that service actions are reliable, accurate and valuable; optimizing the dispatch of field services to meet customer needs effectively. The position significantly impacts our ability to meet business goals as we strive to be the best-in-class service provider.

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Point of Contact: Lead service and operational improvement discussions while collaborating with customer-facing teams, account managers, regional Professional Services, leadership and development teams to ensure seamless integration and communication.
  • Technical Authority: Recognized as a leading expert within the business unit and NCR Atleos organization. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge across technologies, processes, systems and product.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Issues: Efficiently diagnose and resolve issues within NCR Atleos products and third-party systems. Applying a high level of understanding to relate new and evolving technologies to test design, development and architecture.
  • Innovative Solutions: Create innovative solutions to both existing problems and as part of continual improvement to field services and NCR Atleos’ products.
  • Data Analytics: Adopts an analytical and statistical approach to provide insights into operational scenarios. To characterise and work with various ATM environments, ensuring resources are used effectively for impactful change and maximum return.
  • Business Impact: Applies deep understanding of how technical contributions affect business outcomes.
  • Risk Analysis and Action: Prioritize tasks, analyse risks, and take necessary actions to resolve product and system issues effectively.
  • Customer Impact: Uses advanced technical knowledge to assess the impact of discovered problems on customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical and/or business discipline
  • Experience in ATM software, hardware, or operations will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on execution and results
  • Self-motivated to identify improvement opportunities within services engineering
  • Proficiency in Data Analytics & Visualization tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of the ATM infrastructure from low-level devices to multi-vendor XFS applications will be ideal.
