Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Test Engineer to play a pivotal role in the testing and validation of cutting-edge Computer Network Operations (CNO) tools. This is a high-impact opportunity to support a highly visible U.S. Government program focused on advanced software development, integration, and testing. What you will do Lead the charge in designing and executing test strategies for complex, mission-critical web applications. Own the entire testing lifecycle from planning and execution to reporting and release validation. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define requirements, assess risks, and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Create and maintain detailed documentation including test plans, test cases, bug reports, and release notes. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and automation frameworks. Serve as a quality advocate, ensuring that every release meets the highest standards of reliability and performance. What you need to have Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required to support this mission-critical program. Minimum of 10 years or professional experience with 5 years of experience in web application and software system testing. Strong ability to lead testing efforts and take full ownership of quality assurance processes. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset. Proven experience designing, executing, and overseeing software testing in Agile environments. Proficiency with issue tracking tools such as JIRA, Trac, or Redmine. Strong documentation skills—able to clearly articulate test plans, procedures, and results. Ability to work independently, explore solutions, and contribute meaningfully in a team setting. Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution. (Four additional years of test engineering experience may be substituted for a degree.)
