What will you do? As a senior software test engineer in Thermo Fisher Scientific, you are expected to participate in software requirement analysis, designing and executing test plans, automating test procedures, documenting defects, verifying resolutions, and producing test reports. You'll work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards while supporting continuous improvement in our testing processes. Additionally, you are expected to assist in maintenance and sustaining of software products. How will you get here? • Individuals with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Sciences. Master’s or higher degree is great, but not required for the position • Minimum 4 years of software testing experience in the software industry, preferably involving hardware and software interactions. Candidates with less experience are welcome to apply and may be considered for junior position. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities • Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright) • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) • Expertise in API testing using tools like Postman, ReadyAPI, or similar • Experience with test management tools (e.g. JAMA, HP ALM) • Experience with bug tracking systems and defect lifecycle management tool such as Jira • Familiarity with database testing and SQL • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams • Strong documentation skills for test plans, test cases, and technical reports • Prior experience of leading software testing team is a plus • Prior experience in testing embedded software is a plus • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities • Proven experience in a life science/biotechnical industry, and understanding of ISO, FDA regulations is a plus Thank you for your interest as you consider starting a new career journey with us.
