Are you an experienced test engineer with a keen eye for quality and the drive to take test automation to the next level? As a Senior Software Test Engineer at Thinkwise, you play a key role in the quality of the Thinkwise Platform: our AI-powered, model-driven development platform that organizations use to build and modernize their business-critical software.

You work on automated tests based on Playwright and our own test framework, Testwise. In doing so, you help our teams release faster, smarter, and more reliably. Within the Quality Assurance team, you are both a quality guardian and a driver of improvement: you contribute to test strategy, ask critical questions, and help colleagues make quality a structural part of the development process.

A role for a senior test engineer who brings technical depth, takes responsibility, and gets energized by software that really has to work well.

What are you going to do?

• You design, build, and maintain automated test suites for components of the Thinkwise Platform, such as the Universal GUI, Indicium, and the Software Factory.
• You contribute to test strategy and help further professionalize our QA approach.
• You perform automated and, where necessary, manual or exploratory tests.
• You analyze test results, investigate findings, and translate them into concrete improvement actions.
• You identify risks early and communicate clearly with developers and solution architects.
• You work closely with developers, UI/UX designers, testers, and solution architects within the Product Innovation Scrum teams.
• You share knowledge with colleagues and help less experienced team members grow in test automation and quality thinking.
• You ask critical questions about our approach and take initiative to improve processes, tooling, and test coverage.

What are you bringing?

• You have a higher professional or university level of work and thinking, preferably in a technical field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• You have several years of experience as a software tester, QA engineer, or test automation engineer.
• You have demonstrable experience with test automation, preferably with Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• You have experience with GUI testing, API testing, and preferably also with SQL and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• You are analytically strong, work in a structured manner, and know how to translate test policy into practice.
• You take ownership of quality and dare to be critical of solutions, processes, and assumptions.
• You communicate clearly in Dutch and English.
