ABOUT TESTCARD

TestCard is an award-winning MedTech startup that provides at-home medical testing kits with immediate results via a mobile app. TestCard’s solution is a combination of a non-invasive urine test kit embedded into a postcard, with an accompanying mobile app (iOS and Android) that turns a mobile phone’s camera into a clinical-grade scanner. Our development team is constantly using the latest practices to make our products easier to use and more engaging for the end user, and to provide accurate, immediate test results.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Excellent understanding of the end-to-end process of designing, building, testing, releasing software
• Using test case management software to manage the test scripts for manual testing
• Testing mobile and web apps using automated frameworks such as Selenium
• Championing testing standards within the tech team.
• Medical device experience

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Pen testing experience
• Working with multilingual mobile and web apps
• Working with project management and communication systems such as Jira and Slack

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE:

We are recruiting for an experienced Software Tester to join TestCard.
The role is new for TestCard and will involve leading and improving our software testing processes that put affordable, accessible healthcare in the hands of many!
This is a permanent, full-time position and represents a unique opportunity to be part of a high-growth medical technology startup.
Our ideal candidate has experience designing and developing robust testing processes within the Agile development methodology with an automation focused strategy. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for the testing process of our software development teams. Engaging with our developers and product team to help deliver new products, functionality & features to our mobile and web apps.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000.00 to £45,000.00 /year
Location: Remote, but Scotland is preferred for occasional in person days (not required). Must be in the UK.

ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Providing authoritative advice and guidance on manual and automated software testing
• Managing and improving our manual and automated software testing processes within an automation focused strategy
• Working closely with out QA team to define testing protocols and milestone test reports
• Working with our engineering teams and product teams to make testing part of the whole development cycle - not just something added at the end:
• Requirements analysis
• Writing test cases
• Planning testing across multiple sprints
• Participating in the manual testing process
• Maintain an up to date personal training record
• Work within the requirements of the quality management system
