Your tasks

• Further development, maintenance and refactoring of existing C++ applications (legacy code) as well as bug fixing and performance optimization.
• Conceptualization and implementation of new applications with Qt (C++/Qt 6), including the creation of UI prototypes and integration of third-party libraries.
• Participation in all phases of the software lifecycle: from requirements analysis and design through implementation, code review, testing, and deployment.
• Safe handling of test and build scripts (pyTest, googletest, QtTest) as well as performing static and dynamic code analyses.
• Compliance with coding standards (e.g., C++ Core Guidelines) and security guidelines, as well as active participation in code reviews.
• Evaluation of new technologies, libraries and tools, and their integration into the project portfolio
• Ensuring a structured, traceable way of working with clean code, naming conventions and documentation
• Knowledge transfer and mentoring of junior developers as well as active participation in agile teams (Scrum) through participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.

Your profile

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, media informatics, computer engineering or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a C++ developer, software engineer, embedded software engineer, systems engineer, QA engineer (software testing) or hardware-software integrator.
• Experience with MFC (legacy code) and Qt, as well as a good understanding of software architectures.
• Solid knowledge in the areas of database management, infrastructure, Git, CMake and CI tools.
• Experience in agile teams (Scrum), ideally with certification as a Scrum Master or Product Owner
• Strong analytical skills, high willingness to learn, proactive work style, and experience in customer and stakeholder management.
