Senior Solicitor – Legal Officer Grade V – Parole and Prevention Orders Legal Service  Salary range $154,403.00 - $157,430.00 pa (plus superannuation and leave loading)  Ongoing Full-time Position  Criminal Law Division – Central Sydney    About us  Legal Aid NSW delivers accessible legal services across criminal, family and civil law. We provide advice, court representation, and family dispute resolution through 28 offices and phone-based support, helping people navigate the legal system with confidence and fairness.      About the role  Provide legal advice and representation to clients of Legal Aid NSW, including in more complex matters, in accordance with Legal Aid NSW policies and guidelines in order to contribute to the implementation of Legal Aid NSW’s mission to deliver high quality legal services to our clients and to assist them to resolve their legal problems. Supervise and lead junior legal staff in achieving this aim.    About you  We have an Ongoing Senior Solicitor (LO Grade V) opportunity in the new Parole and Prevention Orders Legal Service (PPO). In your cover letter, please respond to the following two Targeted Questions:    The Parole and Prevention Orders Legal Service is a specialist team spanning prisoner law, parole, post-sentence and other complex risk based regimes. Solicitors in the PPO regularly appear before the State Parole Authority as well as conducting complex civil litigation in the Supreme Court in relation to post sentence detention or supervision orders. In addition, solicitors undertake advocacy in associated proceedings in the Local Court and District Court. This role will form part of the senior management of the team and assist in development of strategic goals.  1. Outline the skills and experience you have in conducting and leading a complex criminal or civil law practice.  2.
