Principal Solicitor (LOG VI) and Senior Solicitor (LOG V) – Public Interest & Protection     Join a high-performing legal team within the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office (CSO)  Work on complex, high-profile litigation and advice matters  Central Sydney CBD location, with relocation to a modern office in July 2026     Classification and Salary  Principal Solicitor – Legal Officer Grade VI (LOG VI): $165,865 – $169,359 p.a. (plus superannuation and leave loading)  Senior Solicitor – Legal Officer Grade V (LOG V): $154,403 – $157,430 p.a. (plus superannuation and leave loading)  Both roles are full-time, 35 hours per week (12 months with the possibility of extension or conversion to ongoing).  Location: CSO Office, 60–70 Elizabeth Street, Sydney. *Please note we will be relocating to new premises at Parkline Place, 252 Pitt Street, Sydney in July 2026.     About the Practice Group  The Public Interest & Protection Practice Group provides advice and representation to NSW Government agencies in highly complex and sensitive legal work, including:  Public interest immunity claims in civil and criminal matters across all jurisdictions  Charitable trust matters for the Attorney General  Discrimination matters, including class actions  Guardianship matters for the Public Guardian and the Trustee and Guardian     About the Roles  The Principal Solicitor and Senior Solicitor roles provide specialist advice and representation in both litigation and advisory matters.  The Principal Solicitor (LOG VI) role supports the Practice Group Director, and has responsibility for leading a sub-team of solicitors, overseeing client and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
