Job Description What's the opportunity? We’re seeking an experienced Data Delivery Lead to bring agility and subject-matter expertise in designing and implementing data warehouse engineering solutions. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader passionate about end-to-end management of data intake and delivery processes, leveraging frameworks like Agile/SAFe to align initiatives with business objectives. Your responsibilities include: Lead the end-to-end Data Delivery & Intake Process: Design, operationalize, and continuously improve workflows while ensuring adherence to governance and seamless transition from intake to implementation. Drive solution design and delivery: Collaborate with data warehouse/engineering teams to architect robust solutions, prioritize projects, and ensure successful end-to-end execution. Ensure compliance and data integrity: Guide data architecture/engineering decisions to maintain compliance, scalability, and resilience in on-premises and cloud data warehouse solutions. Leverage innovation for efficiency: Utilize tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate analysis, development, documentation, and automation (e.g., Jira scripts) for streamlined delivery tracking and operational efficiency. Strategic portfolio management: Facilitate the Portfolio Planning & Intake Review Committee to score, prioritize, estimate, and align initiatives with RBC’s strategic goals, ensuring business requests are routed to appropriate teams. Optimize delivery pipeline and resources: Manage capacity, and forecasting to meet demands, while developing metrics to track progress. Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with clients, product managers, architects and developers to define requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. Uphold quality and compliance: Ensure all solutions meet RBC’s security, regulatory, and scalability standards throughout the delivery lifecycle. You're our ideal candidate if you have: - Strong Data Warehouse Expertise 7+ years of hands-on experience with data warehouse (preferred on-premise such as Teradata) and/or other tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks). Proven track record in data architecture, ETL development, data modeling, and optimizing large-scale data onboarding and offboarding. In-depth knowledge of end-to-end data engineering processes, from design to deployment. Nice-to-have: Familiarity with DataStage and SQL. - Technical Delivery Leadership & Innovation Strong experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and GitHub (including Copilot and Actions). Experience in process automation, GenAI tools, and continuous improvement. Nice-to-have: Familiarity with DataOps automation and DataStage. - Strategic & Operational Excellence Strategic prioritization, financial forecasting, risk assessment, and resource optimization. Exceptional stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. Experience with portfolio planning and aligning initiatives to business objectives. - Compliance & Governance Understanding of data governance, lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSFI, Privacy). Nice-to-have: Familiarity with RBC’s data ecosystem and internal compliance frameworks. - Education & Foundations Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
