To strengthen our Digital Investment Management Cluster team, we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect (m/f/d) to drive the architectural strategy, optimize and develop our cloud-native wealth management eco system. The position offers the opportunity to play a vital role in the optimization, harmonization and further global build-out of our Digital Investment Management service offering. In addition to becoming part of a product team and reporting to the Engineering Chapter Lead in this role, you will join an open-minded, business and tech combining team committed to make “simplicity at scale” happen. We are working in a product-based setup with an agile delivery method. In this cross-functional Digital Investment Management team we are passionate about putting AllianzGI’s unique knowledge to our distribution partners with the means of state-of-the-art technology (e.g. cloud-based services). This role is based in Frankfurt or Munich, Germany What you will do • Design, implement, and evolve a scalable, secure, and cloud-native architecture for digital wealth management solutions • Select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and services - primarily within the Azure Cloud ecosystem - to meet business, technical, and regulatory requirements • Define and govern multi-tenant, event-driven system architectures across a portfolio of applications • Design high-quality APIs and integration interfaces for connectivity with banks, brokers, market data providers, and regulatory systems • Ensure architectural compliance with financial industry regulations and standards (e.g. MiFID II, WpHG, BaFin) by implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms • Collaborate closely with Developers, Cloud Architects and Enterprise Architects, and other technology stakeholders to implement scalable solutions that support business growth • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, guiding them in the implementation of modern cloud-native and microservice patterns • Ensure performance, resilience, and cost-efficiency for cloud-based applications through continuous architectural improvements and design reviews • Contribute to the long-term architecture strategy and adoption of new technologies What you bring • 8+ years of professional experience in designing and implementing cloud-native, microservices-based, and multi-tenant architectures in financial services or digital wealth management domain; including hands-on work with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) • Extensive experience designing robust, secure, and well-documented APIs and integration layers, and reliable connectivity to third-party systems such as custodians, brokers and market data providers • Deep practical knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Azure AD, and Keycloak, as well as the implementation of secure, role-based access control and zero-trust principles • Proficiency with monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, Azure Monitor), and experience optimizing system performance, availability, and resilience in distributed cloud environments. • Solid understanding of financial regulations, such as MiFID II, WpHG, incl. proven ability to design architectures that are compliant, auditable, and aligned with data governance and residency requirements. • Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field • Demonstrated leadership in guiding engineering teams and shaping architectural direction, including the application of cloud-native design patterns, microservice governance, and DevSecOps practices in agile enterprise environments • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences • Strategic and analytical mindset, with a high level of autonomy and confidence in making architectural decisions in complex organizational structures • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken is required What we offer • Flexible working from home and abroad according to internal guidelines (hybrid model/ flexible working hours/cross-border remote work) • Access to pension/ savings plans/ Allianz products • Family support (childcare facilities) • Company share purchasing plan • Mental health and wellbeing programs • Mobility solutions (Jobrad bike leasing, subvention Jobticket) • Career opportunities within the entire Allianz Group • Self-guided learning & development • … and so much more!
