Position Overview: We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Architect who thrives at the intersection of technology, consulting, and customer engagement. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients—guiding them through the design, evaluation, and adoption of cloud-native architectures built on Akka and Kalix.
You’ll work closely with sales teams, developers, architects, and business leaders to uncover needs, shape solution strategies, and drive successful outcomes. Your focus will be on pre-sales consulting, solution design, and technical storytelling—ensuring that customer challenges are met with clarity, confidence, and creativity. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in post-sales support for strategic customers, serving as the local technical expert and often acting as the first point of contact for technical engagements..
While this role does not require deep hands-on coding, a strong technical foundation is essential to effectively communicate architecture choices and align technical direction with business goals. Reports to: VP of Services and Solutions Architects

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to midsize and large enterprises throughout the pre-sales lifecycle—leading discovery sessions, shaping solution strategies, and guiding architectural decision-making to align with technical goals and business objectives.
  • Drive technical validation and own the technical win by articulating the business value of Akka solutions through compelling presentations, PoCs, and deep-dive sessions tailored to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Sales Leaders to craft and execute strategic account plans focused on long-term technical value realization.
  • Design and communicate cloud-native architectures leveraging Akka, Kalix, and the broader Akka stack, ensuring best practices and business alignment.
  • Support strategic customers post-sale as the local technical point of contact—facilitating onboarding, assisting with real-world deployment of architectural designs, and helping navigate complex challenges in collaboration with Support and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive engagement—conducting regular check-ins, QBRs, and architectural reviews to identify risks, optimize solutions, and drive adoption.
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure a seamless post-sales experience, while advocating for customer needs internally and influencing product roadmaps based on field feedback and enterprise use cases.
  • Represent Akka as a subject matter expert in reactive and cloud-native systems through industry events, webinars, blog content, and community engagement.
