REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience in system architecture and engineering. Preferably with a focus on identity, authentication, and security.
  • Proven experience designing secure, at scale highly available authentication systems.
  • Proven experience designing and building highly scalable, highly available multi cloud systems with a strong focus on operational excellence across architectural pillars.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and proven experience build java applications running on Kubernetes.
  • Proven experience designing highly scalable distributed systems on AWS and GCP.
  • Proven experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra), Kafka and Redis.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements in both the EU (e.g., GDPR, PSD2) and Middle East (e.g., CBUAE, data protection laws).
  • Strong understanding of secure credential lifecycle management, authentication frameworks and standards and regulatory compliant authentication journeys.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the design of secure, compliant, and scalable orchestration and authentication solutions for our enterprise customers. This role is based in Abu Dhabi and is critical in ensuring our solutions meet stringent regulatory, security, and performance standards across multiple jurisdictions.
You will work closely with customers, product managers, and engineering teams to gather technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and produce high- and low-level designs that align with both business goals, customer requirements, security requirements and regional compliance mandates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with enterprise customers, internal product teams, customer-facing teams to gather deep technical requirements and translate them into actionable architecture.
  • Produce detailed high-level and low-level design documentation for engineering handoff
  • Guide engineering teams during implementation on security and scalability best practices
  • Guide engineering teams on operational excellence, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and high-availability system design.
  • Ensure alignment with global and regional authentication standards such as FIDO2, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and NIST SP 800-63.
  • Translate, customer, security and regional compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PSD2, CBUAE etc.) into secure, scalable technical designs.
  • Convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
