What you will be doing: Design and document technical solutions that meet business, operational, and security requirements for insurance platforms and applications. Serve as the policy and billing architecture lead for key initiatives, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and best practices. Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and development teams to define policy and billing architecture patterns and guide solution delivery. Manage development teams and provide hands-on support during solution implementation, including design reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Evaluate and recommend third-party tools, platforms, and technologies based on solution needs. Ensure solutions are compliant with regulatory and security standards relevant to the P&C insurance industry. Contribute to the continuous improvement of solution architecture frameworks and reusable patterns. Perform other duties as assigned. What you already have: Education, Experience, and Licensing: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of 12 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a solution architecture role and 3 years of people management experience. Minimum of 3 years in P&C insurance systems experience. Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Proven experience designing solutions using APIs, microservices, cloud technologies (e.g., Azure or AWS), and modern integration patterns. Proficiency in implementing insurance management applications using technologies and platforms such as Duck Creek Policy, Billing, and Claims is desired. Firm understanding of modern multi-tenant web applications and microservice and serverless architecture. Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Deep understanding of system integration, data modeling, application security, and performance considerations. Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work across business and technical teams. Familiarity with architecture tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA) and documentation standards. Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible; able to adjust to new requirements or unforeseen issues. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across business and technical audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with team members in other departments. Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Desire to live Slide's Core Values.
