DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect with a Data & Generative AI background to help our public sector customers accelerate their GenAI journey on AWS. You are responsible for the technology, strategy, and senior level relationships with strategic and fast-growing AI focused Independent Software Vendors (ISV) partners. If you like to help customers implement scalable GenAI solutions by partnering with innovative companies, we’d like to meet you.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner Trusted Advisor, You own the technical strategy and execution on how strategic AI partners will scale their public sector business through AWS.
• Manage strategic relationships with the technical leadership of selected partners to influence their growth, transformation and technology practices on the AWS platform.
• Work with critical stakeholders within the selected partners to strengthen/transform lines of business to create go-to-market offerings.
• Provide architectural guidance on complex generative AI customer opportunities.
• Deliver thought leadership on AWS by participating in speaking engagements in the industry and partner events.
• Influence the AWS service roadmap by being the voice of the partner with AWS service teams.
• Partner Enablement: Drive partner solutions and go-to-market strategies across global regions. Enable partners to build differentiated offerings for generative AI workloads.
• 30% Travel is required

A day in the life
In this role you will collaborate with partners and other global AWS teams to craft architectures, proof of concepts or demonstrations of our platform that work back from customer’s business needs and accelerate the adoption of AWS technology. You will help shape and design partner solutions covering a spread of domains all working with AI/ML. The ability to learn new technology and develop industry relevant architectures and convey business value is critical to the role.
You’ll also act as an evangelist in the wider community. You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences). You won’t just want to be part of an industry movement; you’ll want to be leading it.
As a builder, you’ll also have the chance to shape the direction of our products and services through gathering feedback from customers whilst collaborating with our engineering and service teams.
About the team
The role is part of the global Partner Solutions Architect team working with our ISV partners. You’ll work as part of a team that helps partners think strategically through business, product, and technical challenges, and craft and deliver programs to help AWS Partners build more profitable, faster-growing businesses with a diverse portfolio of solutions for public sector customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
