JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Solutions Engineer for Utilities will play a key role in supporting the Sales team and Sales Managers by providing technical and industry expertise around our software products and the workflows they support to existing and potential customers. More precisely we are focusing on Electric Grid Operators (TSO and DSO) like National Grid or UK Power Networks in UK and Stedin in NL.
This role is customer-facing and supports the Sales team and industry executives during the product evaluation process. The role will be key in discussing and understanding customer requirements and to prepare and demonstrate our proposed solutions. You are expected to understand the workflows around design, construction and maintenance of the electricity grid in UK and Europe, and to be familiar with digital network models and GIS applications in this space.
Creating and demonstrating how the software works to solve real problems will require your ingenuity, creativity, domain knowledge and strong communication skills.
Our hybrid working policy allows for remote working. However, regular travel (at least once a month) to meet onsite with the key stakeholders of your customers, as well as with other IQGeo employees located in one of our Centers of Excellence (Ghent, Frankfurt, or Cambridge) is expected.
