Description

The Senior Solutions Engineer is an expert in Laserfiche design, configuration, and implementation. They can function as lead engineer on LFD’s largest and most involved projects. This is a senior position requiring a wide range of project duties, including: mentoring less experienced Solutions Engineers, task estimation, and implementation, design, and technical review for ongoing Laserfiche implementations. The Senior Solutions Engineer works directly with the customer to build a trusting relationship through successful project delivery and innovative solutions.

ABOUT YOU – ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field required
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative during the project life cycle.
  • Strong mentorship skills and ability to provide guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Excellent out-of-the-box problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex and dynamic customer environments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and take responsibility for timely completion of tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The salary range varies, and pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, certifications (if applicable), candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and years of experience amongst other factors.

  • Range: $100,000 - $156,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Implement LFD Projects
  • Work directly with the customer to gather and analyze project requirements.
  • Provide weekly status meetings and demos to keep the customer informed on project progress and report/discuss any obstacles.
  • Complete technical documentation for each project including System Documentation, End User Documentation, and a Test Plan.
  • Provide troubleshooting, training and support for the customer during end-user testing and the post-deployment phase.
  • Lead meetings with customer to gather and analyze project requirements and offer expert advice for business process strategy and improvement.
  • Design, implement, and deploy a solution for LFD’s largest projects that incorporates out-of-the-box Laserfiche software and functionality, custom scripting, and custom utilities as necessary.
  • Lead implementation for LFD’s largest projects with multiple Solutions Engineers.
  • Assess design/implementation tasks and distribute among all project engineers based on expertise and availability.
  • Install, configure, and license software necessary for enterprise level, multi-domain, implementations.
  • Act as an escalation point for difficult project obstacles and ensure that the customer, project stakeholders, and executives are kept informed of issues and potential resolutions.
  • Support the Services team
  • Act as a technical expert during sales meetings with potential customers.
  • Assist with costing medium-large scale Services opportunities.
  • Provide feedback on less experienced Solutions Engineers to assist with performance reviews.
  • Mentor less experienced Solutions Engineers on project management and implementation challenges.
  • Recommend new ways of doing things to make the department more effective.
  • Provide implementation backup to other Solutions Engineers as needed.
  • Participate in knowledge exchange at the forums and other department meetings.
  • Review solution design and costing for potential projects during the Presales phase.
  • Conduct design and technical document reviews for less experienced Solutions Engineers.
  • Provide product feedback and support
  • Work with Technical Support Manager and Development teams to resolve mission-critical bugs and feature requests.
  • Review and test new Laserfiche releases to discover bugs and potential enhancements proactively.
  • Provide feedback on current LFD processes and participate in department retrospectives.
