In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Lead and monitor Sourcing Localization Projects in India Manage and drive the relationship with Indian Suppliers Execute the Sourcing strategy to grant Supply Chain speed, reliability, cost, cash and quality targets for assigned categories; Develop the suppliers panel to set up partnerships, preferred or on demand supply agreements; Scout and Develop new suppliers, also partnering with Global Category Managers and/or with partners from other world areas; Source new materials for new product development initiatives; Develop sourcing activities according to main projects needs, aligned with project sourcing engineer indications for assigned categories; Analyze and negotiate terms and conditions of commercial offers; Identify areas of potential cost reduction and scout new and better solutions and/or technologies; Lead risk management and supplier relationship initiatives for assigned categories; Manage tooling, assets and investments for assigned categories; Work closely with involved departments (Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Material Management) to improve overall Supply Chain processes; Ensure compliance with Company guidelines and Sourcing policies and procedures; Who You Are: You are an accountable person with a strategic mindset, comfortable in managing complex scenarios, with excellent communication skills and able to build constructive relationships with your stakeholders. Minimum Requirements: Graduate Engineer with preference in Mechanical or Production; 5 + years of Purchasing and Material Management experience with high technical contents; Strong experience in buy out parts with a wide market knowledge; Experience in “tailor made” industrial business; Fluent in English Nice to have: SAP / Oracle working knowledge; Deep knowledge of following categories: Metal Machining and Fabrication; Our Culture & Commitment to You At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
