Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Our brewery operates a robust catering kitchen that serves our daily menu which includes a variety of traditional menu items such smash burgers and flatbreads. Our kitchen also services our events and catering business which includes a special menu for large events including but not limited to weddings.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create innovative menus
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Assist in developing new recipes and menu items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience in restaurant management and kitchen operations
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and culinary skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Event catering experience is major asset
