We’re looking for a Senior Sous to join our small, ambitious kitchen team. We’re big on work-life balance and running a respectful, calm and kind kitchen.
Saltine is a modern neighbourhood restaurant offering seasonal, contemporary cooking in a smart, stylish space. Opened late 2023 by Fink’s founders Mat Appleton and Jess Blackstone with Head Chef Phil Wood (Spring, St John Marylebone), our menu of vibrant, seasonal dishes is led by provenance, joyful cooking and sustainability.
Our kitchen is a calm, collaborative and flexible space built on mutual respect, where input on dishes is sought. We value ambition, enthusiasm and a passion for hospitality. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with an involved and passionate Head Chef.

Responsibilities
  • Dinner shifts Tuesday to Friday, with lunch and dinner shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Putting together menus and ensuring the rest of the team is delivering exceptional food.
  • Work with our daily changing menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients, whole animal butchery, great fish and baking/pastry.
  • Hands-on in the day to day cooking and prep.
  • Responsible for ensuring all EHO compliance is complete at all times, the kitchen is running smoothly and in an organised, clean manner.
  • Participate in a calm, caring and inclusive environment.
