SENIOR SPA, MASSAGE & AYURVEDIC PRACTITIONER – FULL-TIME

Govinda Valley/Heart & Soul Retreats is seeking a highly skilled Senior Spa, Massage, and Ayurvedic Practitioner to join our wellness team. This role is full-time (40 hours per week) and requires a therapist with proven experience in Ayurvedic body treatments, cleansing practices, and therapies such as Panchakarma, Abhyanga, and Shirodhara, as well as expertise in a wide range of Western massage techniques. Ayurvedic knowledge, training, and hands-on experience are essential requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional Ayurvedic treatments and Western massage therapies to retreat guests
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, hygiene, and guest care
• Oversee and contribute to the development of the spa and wellness centre
• Mentor, train, and support new therapists in best practices and treatment delivery
• Ensure each guest receives a deeply healing, professional, and memorable experience

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Formal training and certification in:
• Deep Tissue Massage
• Swedish Massage
• Hot Stone Massage
• Reflexology and/or Aromatherapy
• Facials
• Ayurvedic body treatments and cleansing practices (Panchakarma, Abhyanga, Shirodhara, etc.)
• A strong blend of Western body massage techniques and Ayurvedic therapeutic knowledge and practice
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the wellness industry
• Strong references and high-value letters of recommendation
• Proven ability to maintain a clean, organised, and professional spa environment

Desirable Additional Skills (highly regarded):

• Other massage modalities (Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Lomi Lomi, etc.)
• Energy healing (Reiki, Pranic Healing, or similar)
• Additional Ayurvedic therapies, body scrubs, or beauty treatments
• Spa, beauty, hospitality, or management diplomas/certifications

• Highly professional, well-presented, with excellent personal hygiene
• Friendly, kind, and approachable while maintaining professional boundaries
• Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
• Commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience every time
• Must be available weekends and evenings
