ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Public Sector client is seeking experienced Senior Special Advisors to support its Digital Transformation agenda. This role will play a critical part in guiding the decommissioning of legacy records management systems and shaping the adoption of modern, cloud-based solutions such as SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
If you have a background in strategic information management, enterprise content platforms, and advising senior stakeholders on complex transformation initiatives, this is a unique chance to contribute to a major federal modernization effort.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct a comprehensive options analysis to evaluate pathways for decommissioning GCdocs and RDIMS
  • Develop methodologies and strategic approaches to facilitate a smooth transition to alternative IM platforms
  • Evaluate the use of GCdocs as a back-end records management engine for SharePoint Online (SPO), ensuring integration supports compliance with IM policy and collaborative work in SPO and Microsoft Teams
  • Develop an implementation roadmap that aligns with the IM Directive and the Government of Canada’s Standard on Service and Technology Management for Information and Data (SSTMID)
  • Engage with stakeholders from IM, IT, and business lines to identify requirements, validate options, and ensure organizational alignment
  • Review relevant IM policies, directives, and standards
  • Analyze the current-state usage and architecture of GCdocs, RDIMS, and SPO
  • Identify and document multiple transition options, evaluating risks, benefits, costs, compliance impacts, and feasibility
  • Conduct consultations with key stakeholders to validate findings and gather input
  • Develop a recommended strategy for EDRMS decommissioning and modern records management
  • Provide a phased implementation roadmap, including governance, training, change management, and system configuration considerations
  • Prepare and deliver executive briefings and presentation materials for senior management
