YOUR OPPORTUNITY

One Temporary (Up to 14 months) Full Time Position.
Capital Power Corporation is currently seeking an innovative and results-oriented individual to join our Credit and Commodity Risk team.
Reporting to the Lead, Credit Risk, the Senior Specialist, Credit Risk is responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of commodity and commercial counterparties and related credit risk activities.

EDUCATION:

  • University degree preferably B.Comm.
  • MBA/CFA/CPA designation considered an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of related experience within credit risk management or commercial banking , with a strong understanding of corporate financial statements, credit underwriting, commodity trading, and also Supply chain agreements.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency with Excel and Word and excellent analytical skills are required. Working knowledge of ETRM database configuration and content is also an asset.
  • Experience negotiating Master and supply agreements a key asset
