Job Description The Senior Specialist, Data Governance – Data Quality Monitoring (Mid-Europe) will support the development and execution of data quality processes, dashboards, and reporting dedicated to the Mid-Europe program scope. This role will work closely with business data owners, domain leads, and M4 business units to define data quality priorities, gather feedback, and address data integrity issues across key systems and processes. The Senior Specialist will assist the Director / Manager of Data Governance in maintaining data quality frameworks, standards, and reporting practices, while collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders to improve data reliability. The position will also help document business rules, monitor critical data attributes, support data cleansing initiatives, and drive continuous improvement within the data quality space, including onboarding and monitoring of new data assets aligned with business priorities. Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders, M4 business units, and data owners to gather feedback on data quality issues, reporting needs, and dashboard requirements Act as a coordination point between M4 business units and data consumers, ensuring data quality issues, actions, and priorities are clearly communicated and tracked. Coordinate and support data cleansing activities, ensuring proper prioritization, execution, and follow-up with relevant stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and optimize data quality dashboards and reports to monitor critical data attributes and metrics across core business domains, including newly integrated data assets. Expand and adapt data quality monitoring and reporting scope in line with Mid-Europe integration priorities and evolving business needs. Participate in tool enhancement projects and contribute to the design of new reporting solutions and data quality monitoring capabilities. Coordinate with business data stewards and operational teams to document and refine business rules for data quality checks and reporting logic. At the direction of team leadership, assess upstream and downstream data flows and ensure data quality monitoring covers key transformation points and business-critical processes. Track and document data quality issues, working with business and IT teams to investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions. Ensure that data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, uniqueness, validity) are well-defined and appropriately reflected in monitoring tools. Coordinate ongoing management of data with business domain owners. At the direction of team leadership, understand upstream and downstream data impacts and develop, implement, and manage control structures and business rules governing data transformations. Ensure data element lineage and other business and technical metadata are well documented. Support efforts to monitor compliance with established standards and metrics. Identify and support execution of process improvement opportunities. Implement corrective actions to resolve data quality problems at the direction of team leadership. Participate in key meetings, ensuring actions and decisions related to data quality are clearly documented and followed up. Create and maintain appropriate documentation / operating procedures for all process work. Requirements 3–5 years of experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Information Management with a focus on data quality monitoring and reporting. Strong understanding of data quality and practical application in business processes and reporting. Hands-on experience in developing and managing data quality dashboards, reports, and monitoring tools; familiarity with data visualization and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent). Solid knowledge of data structures, business-critical data flows, and the impact of data quality on operational and analytical processes. Experience working with Master Data Management (MDM) or Data Governance tools and frameworks. Working knowledge of data governance and data quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality, Collibra, or equivalent platforms is preferred. Demonstrated ability to engage with business stakeholders, gather feedback, and translate business needs into actionable data quality controls and monitoring activities. Ability to work independently, manage multiple data quality projects, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment. High attention to detail with a proven ability to produce accurate, complete, and high-quality reporting and documentation. Strong critical thinking skills to anticipate data issues, assess root causes, and propose practical, business-aligned recommendations. Experience participating in change management and process improvement initiatives related to data quality and data governance practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively gather requirements, document findings, and communicate data quality insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
