Job Title: Sr. Specialist Engineer, Structures and Dynamics Job ID: 28486 Job Location: West Palm Beach, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off   Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Structures and Dynamics Engineer to join our team in our West Palm Beach, FL facility. This position requires the selected candidate to have excellent structural analysis skills that will be applied to the design, development and testing of flight propulsion products. The individual will join a senior staff engaged in development and production activities related to new and existing propulsion technologies.   Essential Functions: Working under limited general direction and exercising considerable latitude in determining methods and approaches, performs structural analysis as part of a team to provide design guidance and verify product designs to meet structural, thermal and performance requirements. Perform structural analyses utilizing classic hand calculation methods and finite element models developed using ANSYS. Conduct static and dynamic structural analyses. Correlate analysis models and test results. Provide assessment of the products ability to satisfy internal structural requirements, as well as those flowed by the customer. Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews. Prepare technical reports documenting all analysis activities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Demonstrated experience in performing linear and non-linear structural analyses supporting design, development and production qualification is required. Proficiency using finite element analysis tools such as ANSYS. Knowledge and experience with aerospace product development efforts is desired.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint is expected).   #LI-AT4
