We are now looking for a Senior Specialist, Marketing to join the Marketing, Sustainability and Communications team at UPM Plywood in Helsinki, Finland, for a one-year fixed-term position as parental leave substitute.

What you will do

• Manage the development, implementation, and follow-up of the annual channel marketing plan in close collaboration with UPM sales teams in Europe
• Manage the regional marketing budget and co-marketing relationship with reseller partners to identify their marketing needs, create channel marketing plans, and monitor the implementation and results
• Build target audiences, manage campaign data, analyse and optimise the campaigns, generate performance reports, and present the results
• Coordinate the production and distribution of branded assets for channel marketing
• Plan and coordinate other marketing activities such as exhibitions and customer events in collaboration with reseller partners and their marketing teams
• Contribute to improving the digital customer journey and support the sales in adopting modern methods for efficient growth marketing in key markets
• Participate in the cross-business digital marketing network and contribute to the development of data-driven marketing at UPM

Who you are

• You have a degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of work experience in channel marketing or digital marketing
• You have proven experience in running well-executed marketing campaigns, managing media spend and optimising campaign performance
• You have a growth marketer mindset: you know how to work across marketing channels to find new opportunities and use data-driven methods to track the effectiveness of your actions throughout the marketing funnel
• You are proficient in digital marketing and know the latest marketing technologies (Salesforce, marketing automation, marketing database, Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO/SEM, social media)
• You have good analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present data, make data-driven decisions, and illustrate the marketing performance
• You are people-oriented, enjoy f2f encounters, and want to develop your understanding of the customer needs and the business environment
• Good interpersonal and communications skills are essential in developing the long-term relationships with business partners and getting buy-in for your marketing plans
• You have solid written and spoken skills and are fluent in discussing marketing and business topics in English. Proficiency in Finnish, Dutch, German or French is considered as an advantage
