As a Senior Specialist Ophthalmologist, you will lead clinical services in the diagnosis and management of eye conditions, while also contributing to public health initiatives and education. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that high-quality eye care is accessible to all patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed assessments and comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat complex ocular diseases. Develop and implement treatment plans, including both surgical and non-surgical options. Perform advanced surgical procedures and supervise junior ophthalmologists and medical staff. Participate in public health campaigns to promote eye health awareness and preventive care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care. Engage in continuous education, teaching residents, and sharing expertise with healthcare providers. Contribute to research initiatives aimed at improving ophthalmic care practices and outcomes. Ensure compliance with public health regulations and standards in all clinical activities. Medical degree and specialization in Ophthalmology with a valid medical license. Significant clinical experience as a Specialist Ophthalmologist, particularly in the public sector. Demonstrated expertise in performing a variety of complex ophthalmic surgical procedures. Strong knowledge of current ophthalmological practices, public health principles, and patient care protocols. Ability to provide mentorship and training to junior medical staff and residents. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams. Commitment to public health initiatives and community service.
