As the German Armed Forces' primary digitalization partner, we provide stable, secure, and efficient IT services both domestically and internationally, from routine operations to operational deployments, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of the German Armed Forces' command and control capabilities. With over 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernize one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are passionate about further developing the German Armed Forces' IT infrastructure through challenging digitalization projects and thus contributing to Germany's security.

The German Armed Forces' Cyber ​​Innovation Hub (CIHBw) was established in 2017 to support the digital transformation of the German Armed Forces as a Digital Innovation Unit (DIU). Our vision, "Empowering Innovation in Defence," is aligned with the needs of soldiers and civilian employees within the purview of the Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg). Their work is to be supported and facilitated by innovative ideas and solutions from the startup world. To this end, we act as an interface between the German Armed Forces and the startup ecosystem. We accelerate the exchange with the European and international startup ecosystem, promote agile working methods and entrepreneurial thinking in the public sector, and connect digital experts with the German Armed Forces.

As a Senior Specialist (m/f/d) for innovative procurement, you will play a central role in our cross-functional area and make a significant contribution to the speed, quality, legal certainty, and cost-effectiveness of our procurement projects. You will support CIHBw departments from the early project phases and, through active participation in drafting and optimizing procurement documents, ensure that specifications – for both technical and innovative projects as well as for services such as coaching, event formats, and communication services – are legally compliant, competitive, and robust. Working closely with several procurement departments, you will act as an independent review and quality assurance body, thus making a crucial contribution to the accelerated and legally sound execution of both above-threshold and below-threshold procurement procedures, enabling CIHBw to quickly procure innovative solutions for the German Armed Forces.
