JOB DESCRIPTION
Danfoss Climate Solutions is seeking a Senior Specialist in Refrigerants and Test Methodology to drive innovation and ensure compliance across our HVAC product lines. This role focuses on advancing refrigerant technologies and developing robust testing methodologies that enhance product performance and sustainability.
As an integral part of our engineering team, you will lead the development of our refrigerant strategy and ensure compliance with evolving regulations. You’ll take the lead in developing state-of-the-art testing methodologies, support cross-functional collaboration to enhance HVAC solutions, and conduct pioneering research on alternative refrigerants. Operating within a competence center, you will also play a key role in optimizing product quality and performance, while leading training initiatives and sharing expertise on the latest refrigerant trends and best practices.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS
You hold a PhD or Master’s degree in chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related field and you have In-depth knowledge of chemistry, physics (including flow dynamics, statistics, measurement and test setups, vacuum systems), and proficiency with measurement devices and calibration. You have demonstrated your ability to make data-driven decisions and actively contribute to technical tasks. Furthermore, you are:
Willing to challenge existing processes and drive improvements when necessary.Comfortable of making informed decisions with 60%-80% data, supplemented by professional intuition.
As a person, you are a self-driven problem solver who takes ownership of your work and thrives in a collaborative team environment. With strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail, you ensure high-quality outputs and seamless execution throughout the development process.
Furthermore, you communicate effortlessly in English - written and spoken - with people at all levels and work well in a diverse environment.
