Work Location: Tuen Mun   Contract Period: Permanent / 2-Year Contract   We are looking for an energetic and self-driven professional to join the Generation Engineering Department of our Generation Business Group. Reporting to the Senior Engineer - Safety, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:   * Implement Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) programme according to the business needs and ensure its full compliance with the latest legislations and the company’s SHEQ requirements.  * Plan, coordinate and conduct comprehensive SHE trainings to line staff, contractors, and management.  * Perform site and office safety inspections and audits regularly to ensure all staff and contractors comply with the statutory regulations and company’s safety standards and requirements.  * Investigate incidents, near-misses and make recommendations.  * Conduct risk assessment, ergonomic survey and implement cost-effective corrective action to prevent and/or control the foreseeable hazards in particular to identify any potential SIF (Serious Injuries and Fatalities) areas. * Monitor contractors’ safety performances with effective safe systems of work and give advices to SHE Plans of Projects. * Provide up-to-date safety, health, and environment information, as well as safety advice and technical supports to line staff and management.  * Liaise with relevant parties on SHE matters.   Requirements:   * A recognized university degree in engineering or occupational health & safety discipline or equivalent.  * Minimum of 3 years’ relevant safety experience, preferably gained in construction industry. * Possession of a Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate. * Registered as a Safety Officer under Labour Department.  * Mindful and possess good safety awareness. * Familiar with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 preferred. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  * Fluent in both spoken / written English and Chinese.  * Self-motivated, creative, and able to work under pressure.  * Knowledge of CLP Power safety policies, standards, and requirements is an advantage. * Candidates with lower qualifications may be considered for the position of Assistant Engineer-Safety.   ABOUT CLP CLP was founded in Hong Kong in 1901, at a time when electricity was still a novelty worldwide.
