As a Senior Specialist in Sales Compensation, you will play a key role in building and optimizing critical compensation systems that make our global sales teams successful. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Business Systems, HR, and other internal functions to identify root causes of inefficiencies, propose and implement creative solutions, and scale operations for the next stage of MongoDB’s success. Shift Timings: 6:00 PM–2:00 AM (Night Shift) Location: Gurugram (Hybrid Working Model) Transportation is provided What You’ll Do Sales Compensation Management Administer MongoDB’s global sales compensation plans in Xactly Incent, ensuring the timely and accurate calculation, processing, and distribution of payments.. Maintain compliance with policies while driving efficiencies within payment workflows. Streamlining, Scaling & Leadership Take the lead in identifying root causes of operational inefficiencies and innovating solutions to optimize commissions processes and workflows. Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs, ensuring processes remain scalable and impactful in a fast-growth environment. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, including Business Systems, to strategically scale compensation workflows and systems to support MongoDB's expansion. Support & Training Provide best-in-class support to sales teams, resolving commission-related cases and exceptions with a proactive mindset Conduct training programs for new hires, managers, and existing team members, fostering alignment on tools, policies, and processes Reporting & Documentation Prepare and post monthly sales commission and bonus accruals/payments with accuracy and on-schedule Develop and maintain strong documentation of all compensation-related processes for consistency, clarity, and scalability Provide actionable insights through data analysis and reporting to support leadership decision-making Governance, Compliance, & Problem Solving Lead the global commission accrual process, ensuring compliance with SOX controls and governance standards. Collaborate with auditors to meet all audit requests, ensuring full transparency and accuracy. Approach problems with an innovative, agile mindset, offering solutions focused on the bigger picture while addressing immediate needs. Strategic Contributions Work with cross-functional teams on company-wide policy changes and systems enhancements, ensuring smooth transitions and scalable solutions Drive initiatives that improve compensation processes through continuous feedback, testing, and implementation of new platforms or workflows Actively lead efforts to foster collaboration across teams and identify opportunities for alignment, growth, and innovation Who You Are Experience & Skills 3+ years of relevant experience in sales compensation, ideally within a publicly traded technology company Expertise in identifying root issues, proposing innovative solutions, and adapting workflows in dynamic environments Strong understanding of sales compensation processes and incentive structures (quotas, accelerators, pay mix, on-target earnings) Proficiency in Xactly Incent & Analytics or similar commission platforms, along with Salesforce, NetSuite, Google Sheets, and Tableau Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with a solid grasp of large datasets, formulas, and functions Experience scaling systems and processes in high-growth organizations while maintaining the agility needed for change Personal Attributes Agile and adaptable: Quickly adjusts to shifting priorities and thrives in ambiguity within a dynamic, fast-paced environment Innovative thinker: Seeks opportunities to think outside the box, identify systemic issues, propose creative solutions, and drive continuous improvement Proactive leader: Takes ownership of tasks, leads by example, and solves problems with confidence and collaboration Detail-oriented: Highly organized with exceptional time-management skills that reflect a commitment to precision Collaborative communicator: Builds strong relationships across teams with impactful interpersonal and communication skills Why MongoDB?
