In this role, the “Senior Specialist, SAP ABAP Development” will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP and CEER IT authorized solutions within the SAP ecosystem using ABAP programming. This role ensures high-quality, scalable, and secure development aligned with business requirements and SAP best practices following the clean core theme to minimize any customizations. Knowledge of SAP ABAP, BTP platform, FIORI apps development is a MUST. The ideal candidate will have strong coding and technical design skills, attention to detail, and drive continuous improvements to deliver streamlined user experience with WOW factor! Key Responsibilities SAP ABAP: Develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs, enhancements, and reports across SAP modules (Finance, HR, Logistics, SCM, Manufacturing). Implement SAP Fiori/UI5 applications integrated with backend systems using OData services and CDS Views. Optimize existing ABAP code for performance and maintainability using debugging and performance analysis tools. Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design solutions adhering to SAP clean core principles, leveraging standard frameworks and extensibility options (BADI, BAPI, user exits). Support system upgrades, database migrations, snapshot copies, and integration projects including SAP Gateway and REST APIs. Perform unit testing and ensure quality assurance through ABAP Unit and automated test frameworks. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain system stability. Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and any needed user guides. Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders where needed. Job Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, IT, or related field. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including RICEF objects. Strong knowledge of ABAP OO, CDS Views, and SAP Gateway/OData services. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori/UI5 development is highly desirable. Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and clean core principles. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
