Job Title: Senior Specialist, Software Engineer Job Code: 30611 Job Location: Greenville, TX Schedule: 9/80   Job Description: L3Harris is currently seeking a Sr Specialist Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.   Essential Functions: Able to communicate effectively and work closely with assigned teams. Design, implement, and integrate software in a Linux Environment. Perform software coding and debugging, perform software unit tests, and integrate software components. Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.   Qualifications: Ability to obtain/maintain US Secret clearance. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Demonstrated experience with object-oriented development experience in LINUX using C++ or JAVA. Demonstrated experience in Agile development and essentials of DevOps. Demonstrated software component development, implementation, and integration in Linux. Demonstrated experience using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.   Preferred Additional Skills: Active US Secret clearance. Experience in Design Patterns and Frameworks. Experience in working with virtualization, containerization, and hybrid computing environments. Experience with Aerospace/DoD programs Experience with ISR Systems. Experience in SQL/NoSQL database design and queries. Software and hardware troubleshooting background. Experience with software automated test tools and frameworks.
