Senior Speech Language Pathologist at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Part time and will work 8-hour, Day shift. Provides direct patient care services in all assigned areas that includes evaluation, assessment, treatment planning based on the functional needs of the patients, program development, evaluation of the response to care, and readjustment of the treatment plan as required. The Senior Speech/Language Pathologist is a program resource in their specialty areas, and active participant in the competency program, and a mentor for staff and students. Other professional roles include, but are not limited to consultation, education, critical inquiry, program development, administrative duties, and direction of personnel. Plans and provides patient, family, peer and community education and coordinates services with other health cares professionals including interaction with physicians responsible for the care of the patient. Required Qualifications: Master's Degree - Graduate of an accredited program in Communicative Disorders or Graduate of a Speech-Language and Audiology program California Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire 3 years of experience as a practicing therapist. Experience serving as a clinical instructor for interns and students and participated in presenting in services to staff/students. Experience completing a project or special assignment that expanded beyond the program (i.e. related to the facility and community wide). Experience participating in at least one community service event over the past year.
