WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a technically proficient, self-motivated MS SQL Developer to join our team of top performers in a contract role. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in building and maintaining complex queries and stored procedures. The role we are filling requires a high degree of technical skills along with experience handling production issues and addressing production bugs. This is a highly collaborative role with the need for proactive communication and self-direction.
Please note: We are currently looking for Contractors for a minimum six-month engagement

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong proficiency with MS SQL
• Expert at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements
• Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
• Capable of configuring the database engine and orchestrating clusters as necessary
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
• Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
• Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
• MSDBA certification is nice to have
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Collaborative mindset

Experience:

• MS SQL: 7 years (required)
• Stored procedures: 7 years (required

• Write and optimize SQL statements (including in-application)
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
• Testing and troubleshooting issues related to database performance, security, or data integrity
• Create scripts and procedures for data migration and offer timely scheduled reporting
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Prepare documentations and specifications
